"We are a Reformed Congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America"

Loyal to the Scriptures; True to the Reformed Faith; Obedient to the Great Commission

Who We Are

The PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) is a denomination that was formed in December 1973.  When the mainline Presbyterian denomination began departing from the clear teachings of the Bible, many of its churches decided that it was time to separate and form a new and more biblical Presbyterian denomination.  The new denomination began with 250 congregations and 50,000 members.  Today the PCA has grown to over 1300 congregations and 300,000 members.

Calvary Presbyterian Church holds to the great doctrines of the Bible as expressed in the historic creeds and confessions of the Christian Church.  We embrace the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, as the clearest and most concise summary of Biblical Truth.  We believe that the principles of the Protestant Reformation, especially Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone), continue to impact and guide us as we seek to faithfully declare the whole counsel of God to this generation.

What We Believe

We believe the Scriptures, both the old and New Testaments, to be (1) the inspired Word of God, (2) without error as originally given, (3) the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, and (4) the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and practice.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death for the sins of His people.  He arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God.

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict, call, and regenerate the sinner; and to indwell, comfort, guide, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

When We Meet

Sunday School: 10:00 AM
Morning Worship: 11:00 AM
Evening Worship: 6:00 PM
Wednesday Prayer Meeting: 7:00 PM

Our worship services are guided solely by the Scriptures and focus upon pleasing God rather than man.  We are committed to the faithful preaching of the Word, the joyful singing of Psalms and hymns to God, and the earnest lifting up of our hearts to the King of Kings in prayer.

Our Sunday school provides and excellent opportunity for additional Bible training at all age levels.  Our mid-week prayer meeting includes an informal time of Bible study followed by a time of prayer for the individual and corporate needs of the Church.
